Is That Where You Want to End?

You may not be realizing it now or maybe you have already realized but are too preoccupied with other aspects of your life to understand how obesity affects your mental, physical and emotional state in the long run. Maybe you’ve grown use to who you are and what your body is, you’ve come to a point of acceptance where you no longer consider it to be a threat but a norm, you’ve very slowly and steadily made a mental note that this is what you are, who your are and who you will be forever. You are not bothered with the fact that you just had way too much to eat, it doesn’t bother you that even though something is not the healthiest thing for you to do – you still practice it regularly.

Mentally you are in a state of denial of course; there is no doubt about it. Either you have given up on the fact that you can work your through it and come out on the other end a much more fitter more active. That seems like a road not best followed, after all you’ve been that way before and it doesn’t do much for you. After days, weeks or even months of trying the scale on the bathrooms floor still reads the same, you still feel the same, the clothes still fit the same and it’s still a challenge. What was once motivation is now just a burden, why not just go back to the loving couch, sink in and have your favorite candy bar, indulge in your unending love for junk food. After all they don’t judge, they don’t make you feel small, they make you feel good, better and even make you feel like you’re on the top of the world.

Well, you may today, tomorrow, or even the day after – but for how long, it ends somewhere. And it’s not pretty; it won’t help you in the long run. Do you even realize what you are putting at risk? To being with your own health and the well-being of your own family. Building up fat, storing it in all places, your stomach, your thighs and all around your waist – what is the end result? Type Two Diabetes, High Blood pressure, High Cholesterol or eventually a heart disease.

That is where it ends; the question is more importantly if that is where you want to end?
